The Beginning

Find Your WHY.

Before we ask what you should study, we ask a harder question: what are you here to build, solve, change or become?

Most education starts with a curriculum. We start with the person.

NIA is being designed around the belief that direction should come before accumulation. We want Students, Scholars and Fellows to understand their strengths, interests, values, curiosity, lived experience and ambitions before building a learning path.

Your WHY is not a slogan. It is the intersection between what pulls you forward, what you are capable of becoming and what the world may need from you.

What excites you?

Identify the subjects, industries, problems and experiences that consistently command your attention.

Where are you unusually strong?

Look for patterns in judgment, creativity, resilience, communication, technical ability and leadership.

What deserves your effort?

Translate interest into a mission worth developing skills, relationships and systems around.

Legendary Mentors

You should not have to discover it alone.

Experienced mentors can help students recognize possibilities, challenge assumptions and avoid preventable mistakes. They do not choose the destination. They help each person see the road more clearly.
